BRIG was founded by former Soviet aeronautics engineers who pivoted to building rigid inflatable boats after the collapse of the Soviet Union. By the time they approached Gamlen Consulting, they were the world's largest manufacturer of RIBs.

They knew exactly who they were, but their story had never been told.

The engagement began with a strategic narrative: translating a multi-decade origin story spanning geopolitics, engineering, and global expansion into a clear, engaging origin story for the high end international market that highlighted the incredible odds they overcame. 

Then the war started. Their factories in Ukraine were hit. The engagement shifted overnight to crisis communications – crafting messaging for employees, customers, and retail partners under incomplete information and extreme sensitivity. 

The wrong word choice risked mass cancellations from retailers who couldn’t risk unfulfilled orders; the challenge was staying transparent without instilling fear while maintaining trust in the company’s leadership as the situation evolved.
